Sydney performed in her school talent show this last Tuesday, singing Igrid Michaelson’s “The Way I Am”. She worked SOOOO very hard on this, practicing dozens of times a day for more than a month. Its the first time she ever sang a whole song by herself in public before. I was so nervous for her… more nervous than I think even she was! We had Gram, Papa, G-Ma, Grandpa, baby RockE and Aunt Holly all there with us.
She was soooooo awesome! CONGRATULATIONS SYDNEY!!!!
As an added BONUS, the winner from the previous year is invited back to sing while the judges are deliberating. So here is your 2009 SOMS IDOL winner Kinsey Bright singing “King of Anything” by Sara Bareilles! (They were having some volume issues and so the music track is too loud… but she didn’t let that stop her from being awesome!)

I was thrilled and so very proud of each of them,How can I not brag about that? Sydney was doing what she wanted to do not because she had to ….that’s what success is….. same for Kins…. you can tell she is in her element and her world is o.k. when she is singing I so love them,but then of course I am their Grammy!
