Kinsey sang in the school talent show yesterday.  We are so proud of her.  She chose to sing “The Show” by Lenka.  And two days before the big performance she came down with a cold!  She fought through it though and sang beautifully.  There were 14 contestants in the competition ranging from a Spartans comedy routine to singing, to guitar solos.  I am sure you can guess who our favorite was!

She wanted so desperately to win.  I was such an exciting afternoon!  Todd took the event as an opportunity to train himself on the company camera he did such a good job being the family photographer.  He said that as soon as she was announced the winner he completely lost his mind and became “that Father” who can’t stop taking pictures (thus the enormous amount of pictures)!   Every move she made for the next hour he just followed her around snapping pictures!  (It happens to the best of us, doesn’t it!)

When I was signing the girls in the office after the show. The office staff said that she “Didn’t sound like anyone else, she was so far above them.” and another office staffer said, “Such a mature voice!”.   *beams with Momma pride*  For the rest of the day I kept bursting out into spontaneous applause!
