Sydney recently won the South Oldham Rotary Speech contest and earned herself a cool $300! She did an incredible job. Her speech was so inspiring in garnered enthusiastic applause when the audience was supposed to remain silent. She wrote the speech herself. It is a completely memorized 5 minute speech without notes. The theme: Light Up Rotary. And she nailed it.

😀 Now I have “You Light Up My Life” going through my head. I loved it! I had the same revelation Thomas had when I was Relief Society President. I was walking around Kroger and suddenly I could see everyone in Temple whites and scowls and frowns of every day worries were erased from faces …replaced by smiles of peace, love and acceptance. It was an illuminating moment, indeed, blinding in its simplicity and glory. Thank you for reminding me of that moment.
