Sydney was chosen to participate in the Duke Tip talent search this year after she scored a perfect score on her standardized testing at school.  As a part of the program she had to take the ACT.  She scored high enough as a 7th grader to receive State honors!  She was honored along with some other students at the School Board meeting this last Monday.  There was a big storm that blew in and knocked out the power during the ceremony.  But they just kept on going!   Someone handed the superintendent a flashlight and on they went with the show!   So my picture is a little grainy as it was practically night vision.  But here is Sydney getting her certificate.   The scariest part of the whole ACT experience?  She says it was being in a room full of Seniors all morning!  LOL
