Thing #1
Todd and Kinsey decided they needed to model the new towels I bought at TJ Max. They are strange ducks. I think thats why I love them so much!

We finally got the yard treated for bugs and weeds today. I loathe both Dandelions and Ants! If God says I am allowed to ask one question at the judgement bar its going to be, “Why ants????”

We have this bare patch of ground in the front yard. Its been there since we moved in. It looks like the old owners liked to drive on that part of the grass and rubbed it bare. We wanted to sod it, but we went to Lowes and they said they won’t have sod for another 2 weeks. 🙁 Then today our neighbor was doing some yard work and said…”Hey I have some grass clods I just dug up. You want them for that bare spot?” And you know what? It was almost enough to cover the whole area! And then he said, “My brother owns a lawn care shop. I will pick you up a sod roll this week to fill in the rest.” OMGOSH! I love my neighbors! He is getting brownies tomorrow.

Many many years ago in a home far far away Todd and I were inspired that we should have a Family Mission Statement. After praying about it for a few days Todd sat down at the computer and began to type. What came out of his fingers was not from him, but completely dictated by the Lord. And it has been our Family Mission Statement ever since. We recite it as a family before Family Home Evenings and Family Councils. It seeks to remind us what our goals are as a family and helps give us direction in times of uncertainty. For the last 13 years the Mission Statement has been in a little 3×5 frame that I got on clearance at Walmart because the glass was cracked. But yesterday it finally got a permanent home in our new home! It now sits along side the Proclamation on the Family in our entry hall. And I LOVE it! Now we just need to get around to that family portrait to fill out the wall of family. 😀

Those are some sassy towels. 😀
Are there any other kind?? Sassy towels are the only way to go! haha
Oh honey, I am with you on the ants. 150%. Like…I don’t even like looking too closely at your cute No Ants logo. If you ever get a reply from the Almighty, I hope you’ll pass it on!
Love your wall of family. Definitely time to get going on the family portrait. You just need to get that camera out, and start snapping.
I can deal with spider, but ants…where there is one there are hundreds! Thats what kills me. And I was scared as a kid.
I have some cute picks of the kids and Todd, the problem is getting me “the camera woman” in the picture too. One of these days…
roaches and moths beat ants every day of the week!
Love the models more than the towels but they wear them cutely.
I’d ask why mosquitoes and ticks.
God bless good neighbors and the brownies are a great idea!
I adore the mission statement and have only one thing to add…AMEN.
Do love this post. The towels, the ant experiences (we all have them), and the mission statement. You’re just awesome!
