Today marks my 14th wedding anniversary. Yes! 14 YEARS! I know – it makes me feel old too. And what a better way to celebrate such an occasion than with minor surgery! Sydney had a bit of minor surgery to remove a cyst on her lip. She would like me to relate the following message to you.
We are celebrating our anniversary this year by doing what we always do – wishing we could do more. Nothing ever seems to be enough when it comes to rejoicing in another year of wedded bliss. No activity or gift can fully encompass the pleasure I feel thinking about completing yet another year in our journey together. And so it will go as it always goes, Todd will bring me flowers (my favorite white lilies) that make him sneeze and I will write a cheesy blog entry. And then we will sit together on our front porch as the sun sets in the sky and watch the world go by just grateful to be in one another’s company – all the while praying that we find ourselves in the exact same place 50 years from now.
