Welcome to 2009 family and friends! This year has absolutely flown by. I have had many things to be grateful for this year. Here are just a few:
1. Friends who make each day sunnier and more beautiful.
2. We had no major auto related repairs this year! (knock on wood)
3. My beautiful Daughters who are my reason.
4. Todd finishing his MBA!
5. The color pink.
6. A husband who makes me laugh even when I am mad!
7. Family = <3
8. Music (Thriving Ivory, Blue October, & Paramore to name a few)
9. Good Books (The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson – which have kept me laughing all year!)
10. Chocolate. 😀
Another pleasure I get on this the first day of the rest of our lives is celebrating the birth of my first born daughter. She aptly shares this birthday with a date synonymous with new beginnings. She is officially the big 13 this year. That’s right, a teenager. (Though I am not quite sure what the fuss over thirteen is as nothing really changes from 12. 14 would seem more exciting being that you get to go to dances and EFY then, but that’s just me.) She is an angel and I am thrilled that she chose me to be her Momma.
We celebrated as usual at a hotel with an indoor pool and gorged ourselves on Chinese food…Yum.
Happy Thirteenth Birthday Kinsey!
I leave you with a few wishes I have for you in the new year:
1. I wish you to have 3 whole days of relaxation and meditation to find the joy in the breeze and the beauty of the clouds.
2. I hope that you will find something new to feel passionate about.
3. I wish you would order dessert (just this once).
4. I wish you to sleep better then you have ever slept before.
5. And finally in the words of Nat King Cole. I wish you love.
