Todd called me yesterday afternoon from work and asked me out to the movies. I know right! So exciting. And so we planned to head out for an evening at the dollar theater to see Nick and Nora’s Ultimate Playlist. But then right at the end of the work day Todd was given University of Kentucky basketball tickets! So instead of spending the evening at the cinema we headed off to Lexington for and evening of BASKETBALL!

Our seats were in clear sight of the rafters as you can see, but that didn’t matter to me! We were surrounded on every side by blue and white. and despite the occasional vertigo you could see the game very well from where we sat.
I wanted to take lots of pictures to record this monumental event in our marriage…the first UK game Todd has ever taken me too. I have been to many a UofL game but never UK. Ya’ll know i bleed blue baby!
So I took a picture of Todd while we were sardined up in the bleachers and surrounded by a sea of blue. But what I really wanted was a picture of us together. So after the first half had ended and the row of elderly men behind us took a breather from the full on game commentary, we stood and stretched and I began snapping pictures. I tried to hold the camera out in front of us to take the pic.
After three attempts at getting a good picture this was while having our backs facing the steep decent into parquet floor the woman seated a few rows above us took pity on my pathetic photographic display and offered to take the picture for us! She was so sweet and the picture turned out fabulous! We had a wonderful time. UK won, and we even stayed until the band played My Old Kentucky home. it was awesome. The best date I have been on in ages.

You’re right. Totally an adorable pic. 😀
Sounds like a ton of fun! Exactly what you would have wanted. The pictures of the two of you were terrific. Wish we could see your faces in person!!! How about some games this next weekend. or a picnic at Cherokee park!
