Kinsey had her first track meet of the season last night.  She was assigned to run the 800m and the 1×4 relay.  We were very excited…that is until we got there and the sun went behind the clouds and the temperature dropped to 30 degrees!  Kinsey’s first event wasn’t for another two hours!  We froze.  Kinsey froze.  All the kids froze!  She ran beautifully and lucky for us her two events were almost back to back, so we left before the meet was over.  It went on until 8pm that evening!  None of the kids had very good times (they only run for time in Middle school until the county championships) because they were all so cold.  We came home, had some hot cocoa, and  the girls were fast asleep before bed time.  Lets hope for warmer weather next week at her meet on Thursday before spring break!
