Kinsey celebrated her 12th birthday in style this year! The event was started off by our traditional hotel stay, where we spent copious amounts of time in the indoor pool. We also splurged this year and got a suite which included a hot tub in our room…much to the girls delight. We toasted in the new year with sparkling grape juice while watching Hannah Montana avoid showing us exactly which of the Jonas Brothers she is dating. Kinsey opened up her presents and then we were fast asleep.
We awoke bright and early to take advantage of the free breakfast. And then the girls dove into the hot tub, only to get bored 30 mins later and insist on one last romp in the pool before check out time.
We finished our day by getting Kinsey’s final birthday present…her ears pierced. She was a trooper, didn’t even cry. GO KINSEY!
She officially graduated from primary this Sunday, and is now a Young Woman! Doesn’t that make you feel old! 😀 She is having the time of her life in this new ward with all her new friends. It seems like just yesturday she was going into primary for the first time. *sniff*
We took a little New Year video greeting while the girls were Hot Tubbing.
A vegitarian update on Tatie…she announced shortly after Christmas that she was a Chicatarian! Which means that occasionally she might enjoy a chicken nugget or two…but anything made out of pig is a definate no no! I’ll keep you posted on any further developments!

Happy Birthday Kinsey! It looks like you had a great time on your birthday!
Hi, Kinsey, Congratulations on the pierced ears! I know Holly enjoys hers. How is Mom finally enjoying her ears being pierced? Your day did sound fun and eventful !!!\
Love always, Grandma
Before I forget, have Mom take a picture of both of your ears so I can see your choice of earrings for this event..you are almost up to being able to wear something else besides your initial pair!!! Take care of them so they don’t get infected! OUCH. Love, Grandma
Hey – tell Kinsey happy birthday! Sounds like you’ve been having some adventures (I read previous post).
BTW – I’ve tagged you with a super-short-and-easy-I-promise tag. You can go to my blog for instructions under the “Random fun” post.
ps – I hear you about the whole “daughter turning 12 thing”. It took a couple months, but H. has started developing that tell-tale attitude – ach mensch!
