Taking it Easy

Today I had a quiet day. Daddy got me up bright and early this morning at 6:30 am!!! I thought I was supposed to get to sleep in on vacation. But Daddy just said that I was sleeping in because it 8:30 in Kentucky! How rude! But he totally made up for it by making me warm apple cider…YUM! Once Dad was off to his meeting, I finally got a chance to unpack. I put all our things away and tidied up the room. Then hopped in the shower.

After I got done getting ready and pampering myself a little I called Aunt Julie and invited her up to the Resort for lunch. She accepted, and would be there in a few hours. In the mean time Dad had forgotten his key so I walked down to the meeting room to give it to him. I spent some time sitting by the mountain creek. And I even saw a baby squirrel! It was cute. I walked some trails through the resort and enjoyed the beauty of the atmosphere. Then mailed some little notes to some special girls back in Kentucky.

Aunt Julie arrived at noon and we went and had a lovely lunch at the grill. Unfortunately Ant Julie wasn’t feeling to well, and lost her lunch (if you know what I mean!) Poor Aunt Julie. She just had some stomach surgery recently and it makes her tummy go wonkey sometimes. But she is ok now.

After lunch we went for a ride on the ski lift to the top of the mountain. We had a lovely ride to the top and hopped off to look around. I tried to find the hat that Dad saw yesterday on our trip up, but I guess someone found it first. Aunt Julie and I hopped back on the ski lift for our ride back when SUDDENLY…her glasses fell off of her head and on to the ground! I jumped off to get them but the lift went on without me! The lift operator had grabbed the glasses before I got them and had already handed them back to her, but it was too late. I had to get on the next seat. But lucky for us the next station was nice enough to let aunt Julie off o she could come and sit with me for our ride down. We chatted all the way down, and the wind blew like crazy!! But it was still beautiful.

After that, I took her to see our room and then she took me to the store so I could by a disposable camera since I forgot mine at home. And now I am here. Later tonight I’ll be having dinner with daddy. We really miss you. I hope you are doing alright.

Love,

Mom
