This year is Kinsey’s very first year to participate in organized sports! She is a runner for the South Oldham Middle School Dragons Cross Country team. Practices over the last month have been very difficult. With temperatures soaring near and above 100 degrees, all the kids have been exhausted. But they persevered, all leading up to the first meet of the season. The Rumble in the Jungle, a 1.8 mile run through the North Oldham Campus. We were very excited! As were all the girls on the team.
Kinsey finished the entire 1.8 mile without stopping once! And she didn’t even throw up at the end of the race…unlike some of the other runners. She ran the course in 18.45 minutes, and finished 71st out of 150 runners. Not bad for our first time out! Go Dragons!
