I had been waiting to write this post in order to include a picture.  But alas, I can wait no longer.  As soon as I get the picture I will post it up. 

Sydney was awarded 2nd place in the entire school for having earned 2nd highest number of AR points.  She finished the school year having earned an impressive 225.9 points.  for those of you not familiar with the program, here is the brief synopsis: You read books and take tests on those books…the harder the book, the more points you get.  Sydney read a whole lot of books this year!  Also honored at this award ceremony was Kinsey with a medal for having reached over 100 AR points.  

Tatie was honored in a class ceremony by being named “Most Improved Student” by her teacher.  We are immensely proud of Tatie for this accomplishment.  She has had to work very hard to catch up to where the other children are, on top of having to deal with her skin condition on a daily basis.  Her teacher has been smitten with Tatie, and stands in awe of her strength to power through the discomfort every day.  Our baby girl has come along way this year and we are very pleased with her dramatic academic strides. 

Congratulations girls!  We are so proud of everything you have done.
