While walking down the hall last Sunday Sydney hit her finger against the door frame. By the end of church it was swollen to the size of a cherry. Luckily there was a nurse at church who assured us that it was not broken. We went to see the doctor on Tuesday and he braced it and sent us for x-rays. After Sydney came back from Radiology we were told to wait while the technition called the doctor…I thought…they are making us wait, this can’t be good!
Turns out Sydney seperated a growth plate in her pinky! This is of quite a concern because it can potentially stunt the growth of her finger. So we were sent to see an Orthopedic Specialist, because heaven knows we don’t want our Sydney to end up with a DINKY PINKY!!!
We visited the Orthopedic Specialist today and he assures us that she will be AOK! She just has to keep it braced for the next 4 weeks and NO HANDSTANDS!
