Let it Slush, Let it Slush, Let it Slush!

Seriously, when I said we were snowgypted here is the great state of Kentucky, I was longing for powderous white mounds of snow fit for sledding and constructing of various round bellied snow people.  And this is what we get?  Ice covered cars, and oodles of slush.  Not cool mother nature.  Not cool.

However, we did attempt to make the best of it.  The girls ventured out into the parking lot, in the rain, for just a snippet of wintry fun.  The snow plow constructed a nice mound of slush just perfect for climbing this morning.  Though the slush hill doesn’t nearly look as enormous in this picture as it actually was.

Todd chiseled his car out of the ice this morning and made the trek into work.  But the girls and I have been enjoying our second snow day this year.  I guess I shouldn’t complain too much, last year we didn’t get any snow days.  And we have consumed copious amounts of liquefied chocolate (on which I painfully burned my tongue.)yum.

Just a reminder to all the men out there, Valentines Day is Thursday…Don’t screw it up.

  1. It looks like a good time was had by all. For many years I seemed to be the only one on this side of the family that LOVED snow, it is wonderful to know the next generation is carrying on the fun. I just looked out my office window and see it is really snowing, maybe you guy’s will get another chance tomorrow. Oh no, spoke to soon, the sun just came out. Its still snowing so maybe we will get our wish any way. Love to all.
