Everybody Loves Basketball & Babies!

This week Sydney and Tatie started playing basketball games.  January was used as a time to practice the basics.  Now their coach, who is a UK Women’s Basketball Alumni, is matching them up on teams for scrimmages.  And I have to say, they are completely adorable!  Who knew basketball could be so cute!  My absolute favorite had to be during Tatie’s first game when all of the girls would back away from whom ever had the ball, so that they could get a clean shot…so polite!  By the end of the game they had started defending.  All in all a simply wonderful experience!

Sydney has the stomach bug going around right now.  She spent the morning throwing up but now is begging for Lucky Charms.  The entire house it seems has become Lucky Charms fiends!  I bought that box brand new last night and now its almost empty.  Speaking of, Todd just went into the kitchen and I heard Tatie say, “Mom, said no Lucky Charms!”  Seriously, what is with the Lucky Charms???

And in other news, we are absolutely CRAZY excited about our new soon to be niece/cousin!  We can not wait!  So a hearty congratulations goes out to Emily on her soon to be baby sister!  *kisses*

And just in case any one is wondering, we didn’t get swept away Dorthy style in the storms this week.  In-fact we slept through it.   There seems to be a few branches down here, but nothing major.  We are all safe and sound after the fluke February storm.  Unfortunately this winter we have been terribly SNOWGYPTED!

  1. I’m glad to hear that Tatie and Syndey are enjoying basketball–Uncle Adam is proud too!!

So sorry to hear you guys are gypted on the snow. Out here, we are singing, “Snow, Snow, go away!” We have almost a foot sitting in our yard and we are begging for summer!

  2. Holly had the stomach flu also Friday night /Saturday. She seems to be on the road to recovery now.
I love that the girls are involved in sports. its a great way to meet people, make firends, learn teamwork and life lessons ….all with a cheer from their adoring family and friends. Can’t beat that at all.
Lucky Charms are magically delicious so you need to check for the leprachaun that Todd must have brought home from the west, since this is a new development. However the same thing will happen if you by coco drispies and no elves are involved. Could just be a sugar carb graving and that too is all too normal.
    Love to all.
