Today is Sydney’s 12th birthday!!!! She is now officially a Young Woman. Can you believe it? I can’t either! She got a 5:30 am birthday message from her Aunt Holly. Then she went to school and was spoiled by her teachers and friends, Kinsey even decorated Sydney’s locker with a birthday sign. Then we headed out after school to get her big 12 year old present…ear piercing! She was a pro. She held my hand tight while they poked her. She got cute rainbow flower rhinestone earrings. After that it was home for Chinese food, presents and cupcakes. She had two surprise visitors from church drop off treats and tell her Happy Birthday. She felt like quite the princess for the day. Along with earrings, 12 years old in our house marks permission to wear a little make up! One of her presents was mascara, blush and lip gloss. Sydney was so excited to put it on, she said, “Mom I look like a Barbie doll.” Personally I think she was prettier than a barbie doll!
Todd had his work camera home again and so we had ALOT of pictures (148 pictures of the evening to be exact). When I put them together they played like stop motion. So I have uploaded her evening for you to see. Wish her a happy birthday in the comments!

Nice video, I really liked the many faces of Sydney at the end. Happy Birthday Sydney! I don’t know if Grandma Walker gave you our present but she has it if she didn’t remember. I hope you had a great 12th birthday!

Sorry Heather, I totally left them in Holly’s car since October 15th. Until your email to Tom I had forgotten them. Now they are safely in the house nestled with other Christmas presents awaiting Christmas Eve. Sydney’s birthday is sitting on my table…. Hope you forgive my forgetfulness. Its been crazy around here….
