What a busy first of October this has been for the Bright girls! Kinsey and Sydney are both now back at Cross Country practice and gearing up for their last two meets of the year and hoping to medal in both. We will keep our fingers crossed that this time off for them has allowed them to heal completely and they can finish their season with a bang.
Sydney is continuing her conquest of SOMS as she has now made the Future Problem Solvers team. We are so very excited for her! Governor’s Cup here we come.
Tatie had two meets last week and she was AMAZING! She came back from the agony of falling right out of the starting gate…
(Picture live action captured by budding photographer Kinsey.)
Finishing with a PR at a 9 minute mile. YEAH TATIE!
And then went on two days later to run in the Frankfort Classic and land a top spot and a medal! Her very first one ever earned in a competitive race!!!! She is beside herself happy as that was one of her big goals this year was to get a medal in competition. It must be her lucky socks! She won’t run a race without them.
She also bested her two day old PR by coming in at an 8.45 minute mile! And both of these races were through mud. ALOT of mud. I can not wait to see what she does in a dry race…if we have another one of those this year. Oy.
