Sydney celebrated her very first double digit birthday on Dec. 1st! She had a wonderful day. She started out by having a sleep over with Grammy on Friday night where she received her first cooking equipment (Thank you Grammy, Papa, and Shug!). Some of you may not be aware that Sydney is an aspiring chef. Then Saturday morning we picked her up bright and early to come home and have a blizzard cake from Dairy Queen (Chocolate extreme of course), and I use the word cake lightly. There was no actual cake used in the creation of this dessert! We opened presents which included a pair of boots, a skirt and shirt, and a pair of skimmers. She was a very happy girl. But the party didn’t stop there. On No!
Todd had obtained 2 tickets to the UofL game that afternoon (lower bowl season ticket holder seats), as well as passes to the alumni room (so they got free food too!). They went, had a WONDERFUL time and then spent the evening down town, looking at lights and going to fourth street live. She then came home very early on Sunday morning to open her present from Aunt Heather and Uncle Adam (which I forgot about because I put it in a special place). She loved her lip gloss and nail polish! The lip-gloss, of course, went immediately on her lips. She says thank you to everyone for their sweet gifts. (Which included an earlier gift from Grandma/Grandpa/Aunt Holly of 2 books and a space age reading chair). She loved them all. Happy tenth Birthday Sydney! And Happy tenth Birthday Onias (We Miss You)!
