My baby girl is 9 whopping years old now!  Can you believe it???  Time flies far too fast for the good of my heart.  She celebrated a Derby birthday this year.  A low key affair with just family and a visit from her bestie. 

We watched the Derby and opened presents.  She got lots of outdoor toys to play with for the summer.  The Grandparents came down on Sunday and we had cupcakes and opened even more presents.  (She was a spoiled girl on her day…I love it.)

And today she got even more surprises in the mail from the Aunt Heather & Uncle Adam (Seriously dudes, Build-a-Bear?  You guys ROCK!  She is so excited!)  And the prettiest book mark from my bestie!  (Its totally prettier than mine, I wanted to steal it!)

[To make these awesome flower cup cakes.  Simply ice your cup cakes in white icing.  Then take a regular sized marshmallow (I found pink ones in the foreign food isle) flatten it slightly with your hand creasing the ends of the marshmallow flat.  Then with a sharp knife slice the marshmallow into five even slices.  You will notice the petal shape right off!  Its pretty cool.  Arrange the petals on your cup cake and dab a little yellow icing in the center.]
