So I am sure you have already heard.  Yes the rumors are true.  On Mother’s Day Kinsey gave me the most precious of all gifts.  A trip to the emergency room.  While riding Tatie’s scooter on Suday evening, Kinsey hit an uneven patch in the sidewalk.  Unfortunately the scooter stopped but Kinsey didn’t.  A passerby asked her where she lived, and knocked on our door to ask if “That little girl” was ours.  I ran out side to find Kinsey covered in blood, screaming about her arm.

After walking her inside, I took a closer look at her arm, which was slightly curved where there should have been no curve.  We quickly loaded everyone in the car and sped of to the ER.  She was still bleeding pretty good out of her chin, so when we walked in we looked much worse than we were.  I think it helped the speediness of the evening. 

They took xrays and told us she had “wrinkled” her bone.  I didn’t even know you could wrinkle a bone.  Not only was her arm “wrinkled” but both the bones in her lower arm about 2 inches from her wrist were broken, and she crunched her growth plate.  After waiting at the doctors office for 5 hours so they could squeeze her in, ahe was finally on the casting table ready to get down to business.  At 6:00pm the doctor began looking at her xrays, the unthinkable happened!  The fire alarm went off!  You heard me!  We had to wait on the side walk outside for another half and hour for the Firedepartment to clear the building.  We were inally in and back on the table by 7pm.  Where our doctor announced that Kiney is young and bendable, and will heal up just fine!  She goes back to the doctor in 4 weeks for reassessment.

Given her choice of a rainbow of colors.  Kinsey chose this lovely pale yellow.  Why you ask?  Well folks, because it glows in the dark!  It certainly makes tucking her in at night an enlightneing experience!
