Today I bid a sad farewell to a long time friend. She has been with me since I was 15. She has been there for me through every event in my life, from dates to Prom – from girls camp to youth conference – from home to college – from my wedding day to the birth of every single one of my children. She has even traveled across the country with me twice. And made me pretty on days when I didn’t feel very pretty. I will miss her terrible as she heads to that big department store in the sky. Goodbye Caboodle!
Don’t laugh! Seriously! Its so sad! She wasn’t one of those cheapy jobs either. She was an original Caboodle, before they switched to the cheap plastic and shrank the size. I was so excited about getting her I even sent off for the engraved name plate (that cost me 10 hard earned babysitting dollars!), which is why she still bears my maiden name as a marker. Her latch broke this December. I procrastinated sending her away for over two months now, but today was the day she finally said goodbye. So farewell once more dear friend! I will miss you. Thank you for always being there when I needed to look my best. Thank you for always having the right color lip gloss and space for all the essentials. May you be recycled into something as beautiful as you made me feel. Adieu.

I remember so well standing in front of her debating what color: lavender violet, turquoise or pink? Drove me crazy that I’d pick wrong, I wanted you to be happy with her. Adieu. You served your mistress well. A better testimonial no thing could ask for more.
I remember mine!! It was the purple marble color. My mom bought her a pink one like yours. Miss mine too.
