So last night by eight o’clock I had asked the girls at least 3 times a piece to please get the PJ’s on in preparation for bed. And yet Sydney was still not in her Pajamas when she walked into the living room at a little after 8 and plopped down in Tatie’s moon chair. She looked at Todd and I who were sitting on the couch and said:
“We are starting to write our personal narratives at school tomorrow. What do you think I should write about?”
Already frustrated that she was still not in her pajamas I replied, “Oh, I know! You could write about about putting on your PJs in a timely manner when your Mom and Dad tell you to.”
To which my lovely daughter replied without missing a beat, “Mom, I really think that’s more of a ‘How to’ piece.”
Oy Vey.
