Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas filled with friends and family.  After the excitement of Little Batmas Eve and the celebration and time spent at Grandma and Grandpas we came home and resumed our holiday traditions.  After we unloaded the car from our trip to Georgetown, the girls rushed in to find their traditional Christmas Eve gift from me under the tree.  They were extremely happy to find some silky jammies.  After donning their PJs we snuggled up on the couch and watched Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.  After that Todd read the Christmas story from Luke and then Santa’s sleigh bells could be heard flying through the neighborhood.  So the kids rushed off to bed and Santa wrapped and delivered his gifts.

Todd decreed that the girls were not to get up before 6am.  And unbenounced to us – Kinsey had set her ALARM!  Which I think is cheating.  But we had a lovely morning of sharing gifts.  And then headed off to Grams for the afternoon to visit with more family.

Unfortunately I was made to endure Todd’s annual shrimp tasting.  And I am officially putting my foot down.  There will be no more shrimp tastings from here on out!  Its been 13 years and after 13 years I can say without a shadow of a doubt…I DO NOT LIKE SHRIMP!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your families.  Merry Christmas everyone!  The next time I write again it will be 2009 and I will have an official teenager!  *shudders*

  1. Love the winking Todd! Looks like a wonderful Christmas was had by all. Nicole, I hate too, just tell them it’s a genetic dislike and nothing you can do about it…I with you all the way,Ugh!

  2. HAHAHAHA!!! Evil shrimp! Evil SHRIMP!!!
Loved the picture of Todd in the cowboy hate with the pink guitar. Very macho. 😀

  3. Sounds like you had a great Christmas. I enjoyed seeing all of you at Jim and Ruth Annes. I cannot believe Kinsey is already 13. Lakota will be 13 in April. Give her a Birthday hug from me, and tell her I love her.

  4. So I was doing some straightening in the kitchen and found a small stack of Christmas cards that somehow didn’t make it into the mail. (yours, Morey’s, Cardon’s, a friend from Utah and my uncle. OOps!) Better late than never? 🙂
