We have been looking for a car for Kinsey for a few months now.  And last week a friend from church emailed that she was selling her daughters car.  It fit all the criteria we were looking for!  We got the email about the car on Monday July 2nd at 8:00 pm.  We test drove it by 8:30 pm and had a deal by 8:35!  Grandpa came and looked at it for us on the 4th of July to make sure it was in good mechanical shape.  And it was.  It needed one major repair, which we took care of this week.  And then all that was left was waiting for Kinsey to get home from Youth Conference!

We have had the car parked behind the house in the condos for a few days now to keep it a secret!

We told the kids we were going to the store and Todd and I went and got it and put it in the center of the drive way.  We had a big red bow on the keys and I got the camera into position while Todd went in and got Sydney and Tatie to come out so that we could all see Kinsey’s reaction.

And what a reaction it was!  I expected her to jump up and down screaming.  

But instead… she stood in the door way and burst into tears!  Then bear hugged her daddy.  It was the sweetest reaction I have ever seen.

And where is the video of that reaction?  Lord knows!  The SD Card I was using malfunctioned!  Now I can’t get it to work in my camera at all.  :-/

I pulled out the card and got video of her taking her first drive.  And of course I got lots of pictures!
