Months of snow and randomness…

Here we are at the end of January and what do I have to show for it?  Only one blog post and a whole lot of snow days.  Lame with a capitol L thats what.  I am vowing to get back on track cataloging our family life starting now.  So to get started I just grabbed the closest camera to me and here is what it had on it… completely random moments in January:

Tatie discovers the world of "self photography". This was the best in a about a BILLION photos of her either looking at herself in the mirror or just holding the camera out in front of her and snapping away. I know exactly where she got this behavior from… as proof I have about 1,000 photos of kinsey on my hard drive demonstrating the exact same poses. LOL I love teenagers.
Sydney demonstrating her version of a 'Molly Mormon". Complete with: YW Medallion, Torch pendant, BYU necklace, BYU shirt, turtle neck, ankle length skirt, stockings, un kept hair and the Pièce de résistance… a picture of Jesus taped to her stomach! She had me crying laughing when she came down the stairs. She is going to kill me when she sees this on here. She claims I never put "pretty" pictures of her up. She is BLIND!
For whatever reason Kinsey refuses to get out of Dad's chair every day for scripture study. I just don't know what it is. But one day it turned into an all out WAR over the "big chair". Finishing in the above picture of K reading her scrips on top of poor Dad's head.
And finally our windows and mirrors at home are no longer safe! K got window crayons for her birthday and has proceeded to write on nearly every window and morror in the house… ALL OF THEM! She has even been teaching herself to write backwards so the neighbors can read it too… Oy…

I am now on the hunt for a new blog template. I have had this one for about 2 years now and I think its time for a change.  Now, what to pick!  hmmmm…

  1. I’m so glad you’re back. Not that I can complain since I don’t update my own, but I’ve missed reading your life.

  2. Those are awesome pictures. Your family rocks. And yes, Sydney will probably kill you, but it’s actually a lovely photo.

What is it about the month of January? I’ve had a total non-month too.

  3. I love these moments now frozen in time! They make me and all of us smile even the OY! moments….who gets to clean the windows and mirrors BTW? Lovely, simply lovely….. missed your blog, too, BTW… Loving you.
